both possess a Bachelor of Architecture. Their
professional careers began in architecture firms
collaborating with engineers and governing agencies
to provide detailed documentation, design
development and construction supervision in the
United States, Europe and Asia. Monique and
Michael are preparing for the Architectural
Registration Examination to complete the licensure
process and be recognized as architects. With their
diverse experiences, they set forth in 2009 with the
creation of Roughly Square, LLC which is both a
studio and workshop located in Minneapolis,
Minnesota specializing in homes and housewares.

Our vision for Royal Grounds Coffee is to create a community gathering place where all are welcome and can meet to enjoy excellent coffee, divine pastries, and delicious food, while at the same time use their hard earned money to support the wonderful, talented people who make up their communities.
